Taha Iqbal is a Senior Director in the Technology Audit function, based in Toronto, Canada. In this capacity, he oversees assurance reviews within technology infrastructure, information risk (technology risk, information security, business continuity & disaster recovery) and technology governance.
At Manulife, he has held multiple other audit positions, providing assurance in the areas of Application Security, Project Technology Risk and Information Risk.
Prior to joining Manulife in June 2014, Taha worked for HSBC, Middle East for 3 years where he led the Technology Audit function in Oman and carried out assurance work over application and infrastructure security.
During his career, Taha has also served renowned multinationals, KPMG and CIBC in technology risk assurance, technology risk consultancy and project management roles.
Taha graduated in Business and Information Technology from Curtin University, Australia and he is also a Certified Information Systems’ Auditor (CISA) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
During his career, Taha has overseen assurance reviews over Data Loss Prevention (DLP) processes, including assessment of DLP strategies, programs, policies and standards, capabilities and compliance.
