Olawumi is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Privacy Officer (DPO) for Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria, Head of Information and Cyber Security for Standard Chartered Bank Mauritius, Botswana, and Cameroun. She is a leading expert in information and cyber security with over 15 years’ experience in risk management, Information Systems audit, governance, and privacy garnered in banking, telecoms, and the public sector.
Prior to this, she was a senior bank examiner with the Central Bank of Nigeria specializing in risk-focused Information Technology and Security assessments and supervision of banks and was instrumental to the development of the Risk-Based Cybersecurity Framework for Deposit Money Banks and Payment Service Providers in Nigeria.
She has facilitated cybersecurity awareness and table-top exercise sessions for Boards and senior executives and has also featured as panellist and speaker at various professional fora.
She holds an M.Sc. in Information Security from the university of Salford, UK, a B.Sc. in Computer Science as well as the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) among other certifications. She is also a graduate of the Central Bank of Nigeria Bank Examiner course.
She has very keen interest on the impact of human behaviour on cybersecurity and spends her free time mentoring and empowering women and youths.
