Megan Doherty is a Security Technical Specialist with Microsoft Canada where she leads customer engagements focused on empowering organizations with the Microsoft security solution portfolio. Megan has technical and operational knowledge in extended detection, response, and threat intelligence. She works directly with CISOs and security teams across Canada in the financial services, government, and other industries to implement Zero Trust Frameworks and accelerate SOC Modernization initiatives.
Megan earned her BScSwE in Software Software Engineering from the University of New Brunswick where she studied cybersecurity and software development with a passion for user experience and design.
An artist and storyteller, Megan is deeply committed to empowering others and improving diversity and inclusion in the cybersecurity industry. She has been a student mentor across various Canadian Universities, an active member of Women at Microsoft leading STEM education initiatives focused on encouraging digital literacy among young girls and empowering women to pursue careers in computer science and engineering.
