Maleeha Masood

Maleeha Masood is an IT professional with more than a decade experience precisely in the field of Information System auditing, Information and cyber Security complimented with Project Management Practices, with top tier organizations, having the right mix of technology, functional, and leadership acumen.

She is heading the Information Security department at a Local Bank. Prior to that she was leading IT Audit Management and Internal Control function at HBL, largest commercial bank in Pakistan. She worked as Head of Information Security in a holding company. She has also established and headed the Information Security function at SILKBANK LIMITED, Prior to her experience with the bank, she was engaged with big four firms in Pakistan namely Deloitte and Ernst & Young. She has also worked for Deloitte – Qatar. She also possesses software quality assurance experience obtained while working with Hamdard University Information Technology Services (HUITS).

She holds a Bachelor degree in BS (Hons) in computer science and Master’s Degree in Mobile Computing and Information System from Hamdard University. She is Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) examinations. She has also successfully cleared COBIT2019 Foundation Certificate Exam, Control Objectives for Information Technology (COBIT 4.1) exam. She holds Project In Controlled Environment (PRINCE2), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL-F) certifications. She has also successfully completed training courses on Project Management Practices (PMP).

She is also certified trainer by IMS Pakistan (Franklin Covey Pakistan) and conducts several in-house trainings in organizations she worked with. In addition, she has conducted training sessions at the Institute of Banker Pakistan (IBP), as well as has been conducting CISA, CISM review course arranged by ISACA Karachi since 2011. She is also conducting Information security and Information System Auditing courses as visiting faculty in different universities namely NED (for MS), Jinnah University for Women (BS), PAF KIET (BS).

Besides professional association, she has been volunteering ISACA international for about 10 years. Currently, she is volunteering ISACA International as SheLead Tech Ambassador and as Social Media Advocate; she is a member of their volunteer community. She has also served ISACA Karachi Chapter as Board of Directors.

Some of her exceptional work and recognition includes;

  • Her research paper on “Cybersecurity Threat – Challenges and Solutions” has been selected by ISACA International and I was invited as a Guest Speaker in the Cyber Security Asia Pacific Conference held in Singapore in 2016.
  • She was chosen as one of the lead Head of Information Security among 30 CISOs/ Head of Information Security across the Globe for Asia Pacific Cyber Security Forum 2017.
  • Based on her expertise and experience, her profile has been selected for 2019 @ISACA Certification Interviews.

She has also giving an opportunity by ISACA International to become 2019 Webinar Speakers.
