Over 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on strategic leadership and technical expertise. Currently serving as the Director of Cyber Security at University Health Network, devising robust security architecture designs to orchestrating comprehensive threat and vulnerability management frameworks, my mandate encompasses a spectrum of responsibilities aimed at fortifying UHN’s cyber defenses and fostering a culture of cybersecurity resilience. I am entrusted with charting the strategic trajectory of UHN’s cybersecurity endeavors, aligning them with overarching institutional objectives and regulatory mandates.

My tenure at UHN represents the relentless pursuit of advancing the frontiers of cybersecurity. Beginning as a Technical Specialist Information Security Team Lead in 2017, I assumed responsibility for spearheading pivotal security projects, evaluating, and implementing cutting-edge security technologies, and conducting comprehensive risk assessments to fortify UHN’s security posture. This role honed my ability to navigate the complex nexus of technical intricacies and organizational imperatives, laying the foundation for my subsequent ascent to higher echelons of leadership. Transitioning to the role of Cyber Security Manager in 2020 affording me the opportunity to orchestrate UHN’s cybersecurity initiatives with strategic acumen and operational finesse. Leading a multifaceted team, I embarked on a mission to strike the delicate balance between cybersecurity imperatives and organizational agility, fostering a culture of vigilance and resilience in the face of growing cyber threats.

My educational journey, spanning from a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech. (Hons.)) in Informatics and Security to a Master of Information Technology Security (MITS) in Cybersecurity from Ontario Tech University, has equipped me with the theoretical underpinnings and practical acumen necessary to navigate the complex landscape of cybersecurity with assurance. Moreover, my certifications as a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) by ISACA, a GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN) by SANS, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) by EC-Council and Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) by ISC2 underscore my unwavering commitment to professional excellence and continual upskilling.
