Joe LoBianco is currently VP, Information Security with CIBC, where he holds end-to-end responsibility for Cybersecurity, including policy, strategy, operations, risk assessments and leading new security initiatives. Prior to this he held Security leadership roles at Bank of Montreal.
Joe is a 20 year veteran of the security industry, with over 15 years in Financial Services. His security experience spans strategy, consulting, product management an operational roles. During this time, he has worked extensively with clients in the financial, high tech, healthcare and defense industries providing advice on vulnerability management, incident response, risk assessment and threat intelligence. Joe has also led several industry initiatives, acting as the current chair of the Canadian Bankers’ Association CISO Group and past chair of the CBA Cyber Technical Working Group. He is also currently represents the Canadian Financial Sector on the G7 Nations’ Cyber Expert Group.
Joe holds a CISSP designation and a Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
