Gwen has over 30 years of public, private and non-profit sector experience in the information technology industry, including a focus on cyber-security for over the last 10 years. She continues to provide strategic advice as a board member of applied research in the broad field of security, as well as providing consulting for key critical infrastructure sectors. Her career included her role as inaugural Chief Information Security Officer at Payments Canada, as well as the Senior Director of the Canadian Computer Incident Response Centre, in Public Safety Canada, and a dozen years in various senior roles in the Security and Intelligence community. Prior to government, Gwen worked for 12 years in the Nortel family of companies, in fibre optic networks, voice recognition capabilities as well as voice over IP applied research.
