Alay Raza is a chief information security officer (CISO) and head of the information security division at National Bank of Pakistan the largest government bank in Pakistan. He has significant experience in technology governance, information security and risk management in the financial, commercial and public sectors. He has also worked extensively with international development agencies such as World Bank / IBRD, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, USAID, DFID, DFAT and CIDA on cross-border technology transformation projects in multiple ASPAC countries. He got double masters in Computing and Public Administration as well as multiple certifications in IT Audit, Information Security, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Public Procurement, Contract Management, Data Privacy and GDPR from ISACA, World Bank and Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He represents NBP at Cyber Security Forum (CSF) established by the Pakistan Banks’ Association (PBA).
